Business Applications Manager

The Company

 

Tutt Bryant Group Limited is a multi-divisional organisation operating in Equipment Distribution, General Equipment Hire, Crane Hire and Specialist Lift Services. The Group is seeking an experienced Business Applications Manager to oversee and help to enhance all core business applications that currently operate within its Corporate Office and Divisions.

 

The Role

 

Reporting to the CIO, this position will be a key member of the Information Services team. Leading a team of four, the role will focus on application development, system improvements and delivery based on business priorities, planning and supporting all core business applications in conjunction with key stakeholders within the business.

 

Based in South Granville and Sydney Olympic Park NSW, your key responsibilities will be to :

 

  • Oversee the management and the delivery of the BAU applications, providing timely and consistent support to the business
  • Engage with the business and build relationships to determine the right solution for delivering the core business outcomes and strategic objectives
  • Identify and optimise business processes to meet changing business needs
  • Work with the business to prioritise current and future work based on scope, budget, resources and timing
  • Oversee development in Microsoft Azure environment (API Management/ App Services / Service Bus / Functions / Table storage / ARM templates / Logic Apps / Containerisation / Orchestration & etc.)
  • Manage and maintain key application vendor and supplier relationships
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the business applications strategy, architecture and roadmaps
  • Manage and coordinate Steering Committees to drive continuous improvement and to ensure evolving business requirements are met
  • Present analyses, solutions and business cases to all levels of management
  • Contribute to new policies, standards and procedures required for IT processes
  • Help manage IT implementations and the full development cycle covering both projects and application enhancements
  • Oversee the use of Use Microsoft technologies: .NET, SQL, Azure, to develop technical solutions to complex problems

 

 

Skills / Key Attributes Required or Desirable

 

  • Strong commercial experience including at least 3+ years in an Applications Manager role
  • ERP & CRM experience is highly desirable – Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, Infor M3, Baseplan and Salesforce are in use in the Group currently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable
  • Experience with data management, analytics concepts and tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Prophix
  • Agile / Scrum team experience of interest
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Azure environment
  • Experience in api and microservices with .net core (c#), azure services
  • Ability to elicit and understanding business needs and translate them into requirements
  • Sound analytical and technical skills and the ability to understand business issues and priorities
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong leadership skills with confidence required to ensure authority over the business process and its interfaces
  • Knowledge of business re-engineering and change management processes.
  • Comfortable working with senior business and technology stakeholders in order to create solutions that meet the business objectives
  • Ability to multitask with strong time management and organisational skills
  • Displays a commitment to quality and applying a thorough approach to their work
