About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking the skills of a suitably qualified Heavy Equipment mechanic in Laverton, to carry out repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment and to co-ordinate day to day maintenance related workshop and on-site activities as required.
The essential tasks of this role include:
- Onsite mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Good written and electronic communication abilities for Service job data entry and communication of works to the office
- Repair and maintenance on engine assemblies, transmissions, hydraulics, and other machine-based components
- Coordination of parts supply and purchase with suppliers
- Utilising modern technology during testing procedures
- Managing and maintaining service records for TBH assets
- Provide technical advice & support to customers and other service technicians as required
- Ability to read CAD engineer drawings and hydraulic / electrical schematics.
- Perform preventative maintenance
What we’re looking for
The skills and experience required to be successful include:
- A trade qualified Diesel Technician / Mechanic / Fitter, with 2 years practical experience
- High level problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work autonomously and maximise efficiency
- A high standard of teamwork and intercompany relationships
- Excellent communication skills and customer service
- Valid Victorian driver’s licence
- Current EWP License (highly regarded)
- Forklift licence
- HR license (highly regarded)
- A commitment to safety, health and environment procedures
