Tutt Bryant helping lift for Esso Australia’s Longford Facility
Esso Australia, an Oil and Gas supplier affiliated with ExxonMobil is developing a Gas Conditioning Plant at its Longford Facility in south-eastern Victoria. The new plant will be built on land already owned by the company with its main function to remove carbon dioxide from natural gas.
This project is closely associated with Australia’s large domestic gas project on the eastern seaboard, the multi-billion dollar Kipper Tuna Turrum Project (KTT).
In July of this year, Tutt Bryant Heavy Lift & Shift (TBHL&S) were contracted by CB&I to supply a Dry Hire package of cranes for the Gas Conditioning Plant Project. The first stage of the contracted work will consist of the supply of 12 cranes over a period of 80 weeks. Given the magnitude of the project, there is also the potential of an increase in numbers of cranes supplied and the period in which they will be on hire.
There are currently five cranes being utilised on-site and this number will increase to at least twelve as the project expands. The fleet supplied will consist of a mixture of cranes ranging from the 20t pick & carry style cranes to 70th rough terrain types and all the way up to a 280t crawler crane.
For the duration of the project, TBHL&S will also place a crane specialist on-site for all crane care and maintenance. To further support their client, TBHL&S have designed a Self Contained Service Trailer for ease and convenience of crane servicing on the worksite. The trailer features an advanced powered no-spill system designed to ensure no oil or fluid spills during the maintenance of equipment bringing a higher standard of service and environmental protection standards to the project and to other remote projects in ensuing times.
