Tutt Bryant’s new Terex-Demag CC8800-1 Crawler Crane
Tutt Bryant’s recently acquired CC8800-1 is the first of its kind in Australia and will operate as the largest conventional crawler crane based in the country. Boasting a 1600 tonne lifting capacity and a maximum load moment of 24,002-metre tonnes, the crane is a game-changing addition to Tutt Bryant’s extensive portfolio of cranes and heavy lifting equipment. Featuring a flexible pick-and-carry and high-availability design, the CC8800-1 offers significant efficiencies in the erection and installation of large-scale facilities when compared to alternate methods such as ring lift cranes and jacking towers.
With final testing and separate configuration builds complete, Tutt Bryant’s CC8800-1 is ready for its first commissioning at BP Cracker, WA. Rob West, General Manager of Tutt Bryant Heavy Lift & Shift said that “We are very pleased to own Australia’s first 1600 tonne crawler crane. The arrival of the CC8800-1 marks a new milestone for the Tutt Bryant Group and we look forward to providing more efficient and flexible solutions for our client’s heavy lift & shift projects”.
